Take-home pay calculator 2026: Singapore

See your take-home pay after CPF and the income tax IRAS bills you for the year. Worked out from the 2026 rules.

Period this pay is given in
Your CPF status
Citizens and Permanent Residents pay CPF; a Permanent Resident pays less in the first two years. A foreigner pays no CPF.
Your age at the end of the year sets your Earned Income Relief, as IRAS tests it, and your CPF rates. The CPF rates are those for your age band all year: a birthday that moves you into the next CPF band during the year is not modelled.
Citizens and Permanent Residents who live here are tax residents, and so is a foreigner who works here for most of the year. IRAS decides it from the days you are in Singapore.
Your employer deducts it each month for the community fund your race or religion names, unless you have opted out with the group.

In an ordinary month, $4,000.00 lands in your pay: your gross pay less CPF. Income tax is not taken from your pay. IRAS assesses your 2026 income as Year of Assessment 2027 and sends you a bill for it the following year: $1,040.00 on these figures, which the take-home above already allows for.

Questions

Common questions

How is income tax worked out in Singapore?

On your income for the whole year, assessed by IRAS after the year ends: your 2026 income is taxed in Year of Assessment 2027. A tax resident pays nothing on the first $20,000 of chargeable income, then rates rising from 2% to 24% on income above $1,000,000. Income tax is not taken from your pay; IRAS sends you a bill.

How much CPF do I pay?

As a Citizen, or a Permanent Resident from the third year, aged 55 or under, you pay 20% of your wages and your employer adds its own share on top, 37% in all. CPF on your ordinary pay stops at the Ordinary Wage ceiling of $8,000 a month, and CPF on all your wages for the year stops at $102,000. A foreigner pays no CPF.

What is a self-help group contribution?

A small monthly deduction your employer passes to the community fund your race or religion names: CDAC, ECF, MBMF or SINDA. It rises in steps with your wages for the month, and you can opt out with the group. This calculator takes none unless you choose a group.
